Free Creamer

Oops...it's been over a month since I've posted!

This one is worth checking out....free International Delight Creamer!

Anyone who knows me well knows that I enjoy a good cup of coffee with (too much) flavored creamer. If you become friends with International Delight on Facebook, you will be able to print a coupon for free creamer.

I haven't been able to get it to work yet, but many others have. Crossing my fingers that it will work sometime today because I'm all out of creamer and wanting to try some of the new flavors that International Delight has available!

SC Johnson Rebate

Here is a great rebate that you can submit up to three times! Click here and follow the link to print the rebate form. All you need to do us purchase three participating products from any SC Johnson brand, submit the UPCs and original copy of the receipt and you get a $5 rebate by mail!

This will actually turn into a money maker for me! Target had a select number of Pledge products on sale for $3.49 this week, and you got a $5 gift card when you bought three. I purchased two all-purpose wipes and one floor cleaner, used two $1/1 coupons that I printed online, and ended up spending $8.47 out of pocket, and getting a $5 gift card. With the $5 mail in rebate, I'll come out making $1.53! Not a lot, but it's not everyday you make money when buying cleaning products. :)

Meijer trip 10/16

I did my big bi-weekly grocery shop at Meijer last night. I was definetly not in the mood to go out; it was cold and dark and I was exhausted. I also wan't terribly impressed with their ad this week and knew that good deals were going to be harder to come by. But, we must eat, right? So off I went. Here are a few of the good deals I managed to snag:

V8 Splash
$1.99, used $1/2 from 9/13 SS insert and $1/2 Meijer mealbox coupon = $0.99 each when you buy 2

Snuggle Fabric Softener Sheets
$3.42, used $3/1 10/4 RP = $0.42

Pillsbury Simply Cookies (get $1 off milk when you purchase 2)
On sale $1.99, used $1/1 and $1.25/1 coupons = $1.73 for both

Tropicana Trop 50, 56 oz
On sale $2.29, get $1/1 coupon by signing up here = $1.29

Thanks to Macomb Money Savers for some of these deal ideas!

I got some okay deals, but came home very frustrated. The Catalina machine on my self checkout lane was broken, which I didn't find out until after I had checked out. I was sent to customer service, and she had to rescan any of the items I was supposed to get Catalinas on. Since I was so tired and half brain dead, I only bought 4 cans of soup when I needed 5 to get a $5 coupon, and only bought 4 boxes of Stove Top when I needed 5 to get $4 off my next purchase of ground beef. SO mad at myself!! Oh well. Still got out of there spending $80 and saving $46, so not too bad.

I printed atleast 5 or 6 copies of the coupon; great way to stock up!!

Baking Day

Well, yesterday was supposed to be baking day, but I guess I was too ambitious when I made my list and didn't take into account a sick child. So, I got half of my list accomplished. I had a couple of boxes of fiber 1 muffin mix from a sale at Target a few weeks ago, so I made those and froze half of them for later. Also made a half dozen breakfast burritos to freeze for breakfasts for the next week. I had also planned to make two spaghetti pies and a few dozen pumpkin cookies which I will hopefully get to today.

Here is our meal plan for this week:

Monday - Spaghetti Pie
Tuesday - Beef N Beans (This is a new recipe that I haven't made before, so wish me luck!)
Wednesday - Crepes
Thursday - Frozen Pizza (Baby boy is getting shots, so mommy is not cooking!!)
Friday - BLTs
Saturday - out

No big grocery shopping plans for this week, as I spent most of my budget at Meijer last week. It's supposed to be cold and yucky, so I suspect we'll be spending a lot of time indoors!

Cuban Black Bean Soup

A cool, rainy fall day like today calls for some soup! Here is our family's favorite.

Meijer shop

I did my bi-weekly big grocery shop last night and spent $62.72...saved $57.80! The Catalina machine gave me coupons to total $10 off my next few visits! It just kept spitting out coupons like crazy! Here are a couple of noteworthy deals:

Maxwell House Coffee 10.5 oz
On sale $1.90 (50% off), use $1/2 here , $1.40 each

Coffee-Mate Creamer
On sale $1.49, use $1/1 here (send a cup of confience), $0.49

Betty Crocker Warm Delights
On sale $1.49, use $0.50/1 and $1/2 Meijer mealbox coupon, $0.49 each I'm pretty sure that the $1.00 off next purchase Catalinas came from purchasing 2 of these, making them free after coupons.

So many more deals; too many to share! Thanks to Macomb Money Savers for some help in me finding these great deals!!

Lucky day!

Okay, so the little things in life excite me....today I ran in to Meijer to buy the Sunday paper, and when I went to use the self checkout, noticed that someone had left a $1.00 off your next purchase of $10 or more coupon in the Catalina machine. SWEET! Almost as good as finding a dollar laying on the street.

This week's paper had some okay coupons. Quite a few for Pillsbury & Dove products. Hopefully I can find some good matchups!

I'm back!

Sorry I've been MIA for a few days...my sister and her husband were in town for a few days, and I've spent the rest of the week trying to rest and catch up!

A few things of interest:

KMart is doing double coupons this week (through tomorrow) at some stores. I know for a fact that the store near me in Montgomery, IL is participating. Got some great deals today on Crest Kids Toothpaste ($0.39 after $1/1 P&G 9/27, doubled) and Starbucks Frappuccino ($0.39 for the larger bottle, had 2 $1/1 coupons from online). Definetly worth checking out!!

I got some great coupons and offers this week from Enfamil because I signed up for the Nutramigen with Enflora LGG Assurance Program. So far I have received a $5 off coupon and a form for a $10 rebate when I purchase a can of nutramigen. This stuff is EXPENSIVE ($21/can that lasts about 3 days), so this helps a lot! My son is on this formula because of a milk protein allergy, so if you know anyone that uses the same formula that could benefit from this, please let them know!!

Target deal!

Made a quick trip to Target last night for a few things, and ended up getting a great deal on Kashi products and Wishbone salad dressing! The total spent on these items was $4.42, saved $17.50 with gift card! The salad dressings were $0.38 each and the Kashi worked out to about $0.74 each. We needed a couple of hand towels, and I was able to find some on clearance for $1.12 each, regular price $4.99 each.
We're getting fairly well stocked as far as cereal goes!

Papa Johns

Well, this technically probably doesn't count as "saving money", but it's a good deal, so I'm posting it anyways! After a crazy busy day that involved my one-month-old getting a shot, I got home at 5:30, and didn't feel like cooking. So, when my husband came home we decided to order pizza. I had seen a commercial for Papa Johns the other day, and wanted to try their cinnapie. Turns out if you buy a medium two-topping pizza for $11.99, the cinnapie is free, which is not a bad deal to start. But when we went to order online, we found that since we were signing up for the first time, we also got a medium cheese pizza for free! So, that meant that we got 3 pizzas for $11.99! Not bad if you ask me, as it will feed us multiple meals. We were able to use a rebate check that I found in my shred pile last week to pay for it as well, so it didn't even count towards our monthly dining out budget. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me!

Meal Plan

I have always found it extremely helpful to make up a meal plan before I do my grocery shopping for the week. I find that it cuts down on unnecessary trips to the store, and enables me to either cook with what I have on hand or what happens to be on sale. Here's our menu for this week:

Monday
Mini-Meatloaves and Mac & Cheese

Tuesday
Grilled Cheese Sandwiches (mom was at a party, dad cooked!)

Wednesday
Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Corn & Cranberries (turkey breast in on sale at Meijer for $1.29/lb)

Thursday
Enchilladas (using leftover turkey from Wednesday)

Friday
Tuna Helper

Saturday
Out (church)

Hoping to make it to Meijer today to stock up on brown n serve sausage that is on sale 10/$10 and english muffins that are also 10/$10. This sale ends today!!

Here we go!

Hey all! Here is my first official post. Got some fairly decent savings at Target today that I thought I'd pass along.

Kellogg's Poptarts Brown Sugar Cinnamon 8 ct
On sale for $1.46, used $1/1 target coupon here and $0.55 off from RP 9-13 = $0.09 overage!

Cocoa Puffs Cereal
$2.54, used $1/2 target coupon here and $1/1 here (signup or login) = $1.04

Frosted Strawberry Cheerios
$2.39, partnered with target coupon above and $0.75/1 here = $1.14

Archer Farms Sausage
On sale for $2.59/4. Bought two packages to stock up for next week! Nitrate free and in my opinion, the best sausage out there!

Campbells Mushroom Soup
$1.02 x2, used coupon here = $1.04

Bananas
On sale for $0.50/lb, bought 2.38lb = $1.19

Picked up a few other things, but these are the most interesting and the best priced!

Got a bit of grief when I tried to use $1 off any item $1 or more at the Target Cafe; a coupon that printed on my register receipt during a recent trip. Tried to buy a bottled drink for $1.02, but the cashier informed me that it is only good for items they sell behind the counter. Odd, as I used the same coupon at a different Target last week to get a vitamin water for $0.02. They do have a sale right now where you can get a popcorn and a medium drink for $1, so I guess I'll be taking my daughter there sometime this week for a treat!

Happy shopping!
